Teran here, and I want to talk about something.
Ignite recently joined the Instagram world (thanks to some marketing support from Felicia) and I have be noticing a trend with what I see on various Pilates accounts: very thin women. Women who are most likely part of the 1%, which I believe means that they are GENETICALLY gifted to be thin and trim. Just so you know, this is not the norm.
I am not a skinny girl and struggle with diet and my weight, and I probably always will. But I am strong and my blood work tells me that I am healthy! I try to eat right most days and I exercise at least one time a day.
This Pilates Suspension Method handstand that I’m learning to do in this video is something that I thought was not doable… But, here it is. This was the second time I tried doing this, and well, it IS doable for me.
I will not let my "thick girl size” limit me.... and if you don't like it, then there’s two words I have for you.
Ignite Pilates is for any body. You don’t have to get into shape to come to any class at Ignite. I’ve created a space for you to come and learn to enjoy movement for that hour of your day. And, I sincerely hope that you learn to enjoy your body while you’re there, too.
