***** Update: May 29 *****
WOW! Just look at all this food from a wonderful tribe of people in the studio. Our fam has donated roughly $1,000 in food and donations to the Council of Community Services. Teran dropped it off on May 29, 2020.
Remember, this stemmed from a very generous act of kindness from EK Jewelers earlier this month: a $66 donation to help support our coaches while we were closed due to COVID-19. Thank you, Erica—your kind heart spurred on some more giving.
This is what Gillette is about: lifting each other up when life gets challenging. Support your local businesses and nonprofits if you can right now—they need you. Spread the love.
This week, Ignite was a recipient of a very kind act. During the time we were closed because of COVID-19, EK Jewelers raffled off a beautiful pair of 14K white gold zircon stud earrings to benefit Ignite. Erica took action to help our community (and my tribe) during a trying time, and for that I’ll be forever grateful.
But I also know that there are many more people in our community who are hurting right now.
So, Ignite has decided to pay it forward. I’m taking this generous donation from EK Jewelers and will use it to purchase food to give to the Council of Community Services for their food pantry. And, I’m challenging my entire tribe, and everyone else who sees this post, to bring nonperishable food items to the studio (at 308 S. Douglas Highway in Gillette, Wyoming) so we can bring even more food to the Council. If you don’t have food that you want to give, feel free to donate cash as well -- we’ll use it to purchase food items in need.
Let’s pay it forward, Ignite. I’ll be collecting food until May 29.
Food that is in need includes: boxed/canned meals; soup; pasta; pasta sauce; flour; sugar; cereal; oatmeal; peanut butter; jelly; fruit snacks; granola bars; PediaSure/Ensure drinks; coffee; tea.
